The Nigerian Army has moved its Special Forces Training School from Buni Yadi, Yobe State, to Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-Gen. Olufemi Oluyede, announced the relocation during the foundation-laying and inauguration of new projects at the 4 Special Forces Command in Doma, saying the move was aimed at providing a more suitable environment to prepare the elite unit for complex security challenges.

“The decision to relocate the school is aimed at providing a much more ideal environment for the training of our special forces and equip them with the requisite skills and competencies needed for the peculiar nature of their missions,” Oluyede said.

He expressed confidence that the new location would become a “beacon of excellence and professionalism” within the Nigerian Army and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring the school offers world-class training that can match global standards.

Oluyede urged the troops to remain professional, diligent, and committed, describing them as “indomitable warriors” whose only rest should come after the mission is accomplished. He also pledged continued investment in personnel welfare and thanked President Bola Tinubu and Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, for their support in the fight against insecurity.

Commander of the 4 Special Forces, Maj.-Gen. Hilary Nzan, praised the COAS for his foresight, describing the relocation as a milestone that will enhance training, boost morale, and create an enabling environment for peak performance.
