Top stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State have formally endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in 2027, pledging their full support to ensure his re-election

The endorsement was made during a strategic meeting held on Tuesday at the residence of former governor and immediate past National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, in Kano. The gathering brought together key party leaders, including federal lawmakers, state officials, and prominent political figures.

Discussions at the meeting focused on strengthening internal party unity, resolving lingering disputes, and preparing the APC for a strong showing in the 2027 general elections. Participants also reviewed the progress made under President Tinubu’s administration, especially in Northern Nigeria and Kano State.

Kano State APC Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas, said the gathering was a deliberate move to consolidate the party’s support base and position it for victory.

“We are fully committed to the success of President Tinubu and our great party. This meeting is about consolidating our base, strengthening our unity, and positioning the APC to win convincingly in 2027,” Abbas said, as quoted by Daily Post.

Abbas also extended an olive branch to members of the opposition Kwankwasiyya movement, saying the APC is open to reconciliation.

“If Kwankwasiyya members are ready to join us in the APC, we will welcome them. But if they remain in opposition, we will confront them decisively at the polls,” he said.

The party leaders dismissed allegations of bias in federal project allocations under Tinubu’s administration, citing ongoing initiatives in Kano and the wider North as proof of inclusive governance.

Attendees at the meeting included Minister of State for the FCT Dr Mariya Bunkure, former Kano governorship candidate Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, Senator Kawu Sumaila, and federal lawmakers Alhassan Ado Doguwa, Abubakar Kabir Bichi, and Sani Bala Tsanyawa. Members of the Kano State House of Assembly, senior federal appointees, and other APC officials were also present.

At the close of the session, the party leaders reaffirmed their loyalty to Ganduje and agreed to sustain APC’s dominance in Kano, vowing to deliver victory for Tinubu and the party in the 2027 elections.
