Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has shared a simple but powerful piece of advice for young Nigerian men: marry a good woman.
The ‘Zagadat’ hitmaker made the comment during a spontaneous street interview in London alongside his wife, Temi Otedola, daughter of billionaire businessman Femi Otedola.
When asked about the key principles of success, Mr Eazi smiled and said, “Marrying a good wife.”
The singer, whose real name is Oluwatosin Oluwole Ajibade, also spoke on other values that have shaped his journey—discipline, patience, and the fear of God.
According to him, success doesn’t come overnight and requires inner stability. He emphasized the role of a strong partner, saying it’s easier to pursue goals when your personal life is peaceful.
Reflecting on the challenges he faced in the music industry, Mr Eazi opened up about dealing with doubt and second-guessing. He admitted that being underestimated was tough, but it fueled his determination.
“You could turn it into something that drives you,” he said, noting that self-belief is often built into Nigerians from a young age. “Even in the way we walk—it’s the audacity. Maybe it’s the eba and soup,” he joked.
