The League of Airport and Aviation Correspondents (LAAC) will host its 29th annual conference on August 7 at The Providence Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, focusing on the theme: “Aviation Financing in Nigeria: Risks, Opportunities and Prospects.”

The event will feature keynote addresses from renowned economist Bismarck Rewane and Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo, who will discuss strategies to attract sustainable investment into Nigeria’s aviation industry. The conference aims to address pressing issues such as aircraft leasing, maintenance funding (MRO), and airport infrastructure upgrades.

Organizers say the event will bring together government officials, airline executives, financiers, and industry stakeholders to develop actionable policy recommendations for long-term sector growth.

With Nigeria’s aviation sector facing capital shortages, infrastructure deficits, and rising operating costs, stakeholders are hopeful the conference will produce practical solutions to improve industry performance and stability.
